Gothic Castle Concept
For this project, I wanted to make a gothic influenced medieval castle. The new shapes and tools we learned in class were extremely helpful in bringing this idea to life. I especially made use of the Boolean union and difference commands to create the door and windows. The different textures available in the rendered view allowed me to bring even more detail into my design. At first, I found creating the complex shapes to be a little frustrating, many times what I actually told the computer to do was not what I wanted. I referenced the community notes lots to remind myself of the program's language. I found making the square battlements to be especially challenging at this stage. I played around a lot with the size of the squares to make the design fit evenly in-between the towers. In the end, one side is a few millimeters longer on the last square to make the spacing work best.
